BMC Recognized Among America’s 500 Best Employers by Forbes Annual Survey
Transformation to digital workplace seen as a key factor in enabling new employee experience
HOUSTON – April 12, 2016 – BMC, the global leader in IT solutions for the digital enterprise, today announced it has been recognized as one of America's Best Employers of 2016, a list compiled by Forbes of the top 500 firms with more than 5,000 employees. Forbes asked more than 30,000 U.S. workers how likely they were to recommend their employer to someone else and how they felt about the other employers in their industry. The final list includes 500 employers across 25 industries, ranging from corporate giants to universities and government agencies, where employees are inspired and feel right at home.
"It is now clear that a digital workplace is essential for companies to develop the speed, agility and productivity needed to remain competitive, and BMC is committed to helping companies of all sizes successfully make that transformation," said Monika Fahlbusch, SVP and chief employee experience officer at BMC. "We are making that strategic transition ourselves, transforming into a 100 percent digital workplace where we provide our employees with a mobile, personalized and context-aware self-service for a better employee experience. Our employees are speaking with their voices, and we're extremely pleased to have this independent validation of our success."
BMC is seeing broad interest in the digital workplace among its current customer base, which includes 82 percent of the FORTUNE® 500 and 97 percent of the FORTUNE® 100. BMC's strategy to enable the digital workplace is based on an intuitive and intelligent mobile application called MyIT. At its core, the MyIT application helps customers transition to a modern IT self-service model, creating a so-called smart office that helps today's work-from-anywhere employees do things like easily book a conference room or find a nearby printer. MyIT also includes Service Broker, to provide workers with more of the tools and services they need to be competitive in the market, and HR Case Management, to extend service management into HR.
The employees surveyed by Forbes were contacted anonymously online without the involvement of their employers, and the list results are representative of the U.S. workforce by gender, age, region, education, and ethnicity.
