Quick Configure: Event Management

This Service configures event policies to control events in BMC Helix Operations Management (BHOM).  It includes suppression, normalization, enrichment, correlation, and notification as well as knowledge transfer of event management best practices.

What you get:

BMC will perform the following in one environment:

  • Conduct a workshop for gathering requirements
  • Prepare Solution Design Document
  • Review current event traffic and policies
  • Create up to 10 new event policies
  • Prepare Construction Document
  • Prepare Test Strategy and System Test Plan
  • Assist Customer with functional testing

Customer will be responsible for:

  • Conducting functional testing 

Deliverables: Using BMC’s standard methodology and templates, the following Deliverables are in scope for this project and will be delivered:

  • Solution Design Document
  • Construction Document
  • Test Strategy and System Test Plan

Completion Criteria: BMC will have completed the Service when the in-scope Service have been completed and the Deliverables have been reviewed in accordance with the Terms of Use and delivered to the customer Project Manager.  From delivery start date, the service must be consumed and completed within 30 days.  Consultant days must be booked in no less than 8-hour increments/full days.

Pre-requisites:

  • BHOM must already be onboarded and configured for user access
  • Alarm policies and/or event integrations must be configured and active
