BMC Helix Service Request Definition to Digital Workplace Catalog Conversion Service

This service assesses Customer’s ITSM (Service Request Management) (SRM) implementation and creates a roadmap for transforming Service Request Definitions (SRDs) into Digital Workplace Catalog (DWPC) Services. This Service deploys and converts up to 20 Basic and 20 Intermediate SRDs to DWPC Services and provides knowledge transfer of BMC’s recommended best practices for configuring DWPC Services.

What you get:

BMC will perform the following:

Advisory and Planning:

  • Conduct a workshop to provide overview of the pre-checker utility.
  • Run the pre-checker utility to assess customer’s SRM deployment/implementation and generate report.
  • Prepare Roadmap document for SRM to DWPC conversion.
  • Review the identified SRDs, up to 100.

Conversion

  • Work with Customer to identify the SRDs to be converted.
  • Install, configure, and run the conversion utility to convert up to 20 Basic and 20 Intermediate SRDs to DWPC services.
  • Create construction document for conversions that require manual fixes.
  • Apply manual fixes.
  • Assist Customer with Unit Testing for each converted DWPC service.
  • Review best practices and conduct a knowledge transfer for the in-scope SRDs.

Validate and Deliver

  • Assist Customer during User Acceptance Test (UAT) of up to 1 week in duration.
  • Migrate converted and UAT approved DWPC Services to Production Environment.
  • Assist Customer during Go-Live and Post Go-Live, up to 5 days.
  • Finalize the construction document and review with Customer for knowledge transfer.

Customer will be responsible for the following:

  • Provide subject matter experts with a comprehensive understanding of the Customer's SRM and DWPC implementations to determine the prioritization of in-scope SRDs and DWPC Services.
  • Supply the list of SRDs to be converted to DWPC Services.
  • Ensure that SRM and DWPC subject matter experts have access to BMC Helix DWPC.
  • Participate with the BMC Technical team during roadmap/approach discussions and workshop discussions.
  • Conduct end-to-end Functional and User Acceptance Testing of the converted DWP services.
  • Redeem additional quantities, if required, before the conversion utility is used as part of the project execution.

Project Milestones: The following Milestones are established between the Customer and BMC. Once BMC has reached a milestone, the BMC project manager will issue a milestone completion letter to the Customer.

  • Milestone 1: Upon delivery of the Roadmap/Approach Document
  • Milestone 2: Upon delivery and approval of the 1st draft of Construction Document
  • Milestone 3: Upon completion of the Project Closeout meeting and the delivery of the project completion letter

Deliverables: Using BMC’s standard methodology and templates, the following Deliverables are in scope for this project and will be delivered:

  • Roadmap Document
  • Construction Document

Completion Criteria: BMC will have completed the Service when the in-scope Service have been completed and the Deliverables have been reviewed in accordance with the Terms of Use and delivered to the customer Project Manager. Consultant days must be booked in no less than 8-hour increments/full days.
