BMC Helix Event Noise Reduction Service

What you get:

BMC will perform the following:

• Conduct workshop to gather requirements
• Prepare Solution Design Document
• For alarm thresholds optimization:
  • Adjust alarm policies, up to ten
• For correlation, filtering and blackout policies:
  • Configure event policies, up to eight
• Prepare Test Strategy 
• Prepare System Test Plan
• Prepare Construction Document
• Assist Customer with functional testing (up to 1 day)

Customer will be responsible for:

• Conducting functional testing

BMC will provide this Service with one of the approaches below:

Deliverables: Using BMC’s standard methodology and templates, the following Deliverables are in scope for this project and will be delivered:

• Solution Design Document
• Test Strategy Document
• System Test Plan
• Construction Document

Completion Criteria: BMC will have completed the Service when the in-scope Service have been completed and the Deliverables have been reviewed in accordance with the Terms of Use and delivered to the customer Project Manager. From delivery start date, the service must be consumed and completed within 30 days. Consultant days must be booked in no less than 8-hour increments/full days.

Pre-requisites:

• BMC Helix Operations Management (BHOM) must be installed and configured 
• Firewall ports must be open between monitoring environment and BHOM 
• Minimum patrol agent “alarm tuning” version for BMC PATROL Agent is 21.02 
  • Identify all monitoring solutions in Customer environment- Supported monitoring solutions found here
• Customer will provide:
  • Privileged service account for monitoring IT infrastructure
  • BHOM and target environment to test and validate solution
  • Currently configured alarm policy details
  • Use case(s) for Event
