BMC Software Honored With Two Bronze Stevie® Awards in 2017 American Business Awards ℠

Stevie winners will be presented with their awards on June 20 in New York

HOUSTON – May 4, 2017 – BMC, a global leader in IT solutions for digital enterprise, today announced it has won two Bronze awards in the 2017 American Business Awards. BMC was awarded Bronze in the Human Resources Department of the Year category for BMC's Employee Experience team and Bronze in the IT Service Management Solution category for BMC's Remedy Service Management Suite solution.

The Bronze Stevie Award for Human Resources recognizes BMC's Employee Experience team for its commitment to workforce needs, consumer-oriented experiences, and technology tools that enable employee productivity and customer success. The award serves as a crucial validation of not only the digital workplace transformation journey BMC began a few years ago, but also the mission of the company to help customers become modern, people-centric, digital enterprises that support the dramatically changing needs of employees.

As the modern workplace moves into a more global, more mobile, and more competitive landscape, the ideal employee experience has changed. The Employee Experience team at BMC performed research and conducted conversations with each of its employees to listen, hear, and develop meaningful insights that would empower the company's workforce with the necessary improvements and updates to recruit and retain the most competitive workforce in more than thirty countries around the globe.

"We're thrilled to receive this Stevie Award recognizing our efforts to transform employee experience at BMC," said Monika Fahlbusch, chief employee experience officer at BMC. "Today's employee experience needs to model a B2C experience and include the right tools, technology, process, and culture that increases employees' agility and productivity while engaging them at the same time. BMC excels in this area, as we have a broad and diverse employee population, many of whom are outside of the U.S."

The Bronze Stevie Award for BMC's Remedy Service Management Suite solution celebrates the software's ability to empower modern CIOs and IT departments to neatly and efficiently orchestrate their company's multi-cloud ecosystems with a cloud-based digital service management platform. The American Business Award recognizes BMC's Remedy solution for its out-of-the-box best practices, embedded team-working tools, and stunning user experience.

In September 2016, BMC's Remedy 9 solution was updated to complement data management compliance for Office 365 users, automating the time-consuming, manual, and email-based process of compliance when resolving data breaches. This makes the resolution and compliance processes of data security and management much easier, especially as organizations aim to secure and manage multi-cloud infrastructures. The Remedy 9 complement with Office 365 offers greater visibility and more efficient resolution of breaches by treating them as IT tickets that can be tracked and resolved with Remedy 9 rather than being handled manually, or as is often the case, not at all.

"In today's ever-changing technology landscape, the modern CIO and IT department has to think faster and more innovatively," said Nayaki Nayyar, president of digital services management at BMC. "BMC's Remedy Service Management Suite empowers IT to make complex IT simple for effective digital service management, especially in a transitional era with hybrid infrastructures serving global workforces. Integration with cloud services, including Office 365, is vital to successfully manage multi-cloud enterprise environments, and we're honored that the Stevie Awards recognizes our leadership."

The American Business Awards are the nation's premier business awards program. All organizations operating in the U.S.A. are eligible to submit nominations – public and private, for-profit and non-profit, large and small.

More than 190 professionals worldwide participated in the judging process to select this year's Stevie Award winners. Nicknamed the Stevies for the Greek word meaning "crowned," the awards will be presented to winners at a gala ceremony at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York on Tuesday, June 20.
