The BMC Helix Event Management Service assists Customers in implementing event management core functionalities and defining a scalable structure for different event sources. It enables IT operations administrators to perform event management activities related to event refinement, basic enrichment, advanced enrichment, blackout, suppression, correlation, and notification.

What you get:

BMC Helix will perform the following in one environment:

  • Conduct a workshop for requirements gathering
  • Configure identity management,   users, groups, and roles
  • Configure up to 10 event management policies from the following policy types: 
    • Refinement 
    • Basic enrichment 
    • Advanced enrichment 
    • Blackout 
    • Suppression 
    • Correlation 
    • Notification
  • Perform knowledge transfer/walkthrough session, up to one day (Session recording will be shared)
  • Assist with functional testing
  • Prepare Test Plan document
  • Prepare a Requirements Document
  • Prepare a Summarization Document

Customer will be responsible for:

  • Providing requirements on event management use cases
  • Conducting functional testing
  • Provide suitable environment to perform deployment and test

Deliverables:

Using BMC Helix standard methodology and templates, the following Deliverables are in scope for this project and will be delivered:

  • Test plan document
  • Requirements Document
  • Summarization Document

Completion Criteria: BMC Helix will have completed the Service when the in-scope Service have been completed and the Deliverables have been reviewed in accordance with the Terms of Use and delivered to the customer Project Manager.

Definitions:

Country-Specific Staffing: Upon Customer’s request and BMC resource availability, BMC will deviate from BMC’s Standard Delivery model. BMC will work with Customer to understand and address their country-specific staffing requirements. The staffing choice from which country a BMC resource comes from will be mutually agreed to by BMC and Customer.  

Standard Delivery: A mix of BMC consultants and project managers sourced from various BMC locations.
