BMC AMI Storage IAM 11.x: Fundamentals IAM/PLEX (WBT)
BMC AMI Storage IAM is a high-performance indexed access method for z/OS® that can be used in place of VSAM KSDS or VSAM ESDS datasets for batch, TSO, and online processing. IAM/PLEX, an additional support function, builds on IAM/RLS to provide record level sharing support to IAM datasets across multiple LPARs within a z/OS Sysplex.
This web-based course helps learners understand how IAM/PLEX works, the setup required, the parameters and operator commands, the automatic selection of datasets, and journaling. The course also provides information on how to restart IAM/PLEX after planned or unplanned outages.
This course builds on the concepts covered in the BMC AMI Storage IAM 11.x: Fundamentals IAM/RLS (WBT) course. It is recommended that you understand the concepts related to IAM/RLS before taking this course.
