Welcome to the new and BMC Community! We have redesigned the experience to help you find answers faster, connect more easily, and engage better. Below are some frequently asked questions to help you navigate the changes.
1. Why was the community redesigned?
We redesigned the community to improve usability, navigation, mobile responsiveness, and content discoverability based on feedback from members like you. Our goal is to make it easier for you to ask questions, find answers, and connect with peers and experts.
2. What are the major changes in the new design?
3. Did any content get lost during the redesign?
No, all community content including posts, comments, replies, and likes—was preserved during the transition.
4. How do I update my profile or notification settings?
5. Where do I post questions or report bugs about the new design?
We have created a special blog to report issues
6. Will more changes be coming?
Yes! We’ll continue improving based on your feedback. Stay tuned for updates in the BMC Community section.
7. Are there any new community guidelines or rules?
No changes have been made to the guidelines. Community guidelines remains the same. You can find the latest guidelines in the “Community Guidelines” section in the footer or main nav.
8. Can I customize my notification settings in the new design?
Yes! Go to My Settings → Notifications to adjust email alerts, mentions, and thread subscriptions.
9. Where can I find official product updates or announcements?
Head to the Announcements Widgets category to stay up to date with release notes, feature previews, and upcoming events.
10. How do I become a top contributor or get badges?
Engage regularly, answer questions, start helpful threads, and receive kudos. Top contributors are highlighted on the leaderboard and in community roundups.
11. What if I find broken links or missing images after the redesign?
Please report them in the Say Hello to the New BMC Community blog or email Community team. We are continuously fixing migrated content.
12. Is there a mobile version available?
Yes! Our redesign prioritized a responsive design that works seamlessly across devices of all sizes.
13. Will the redesign affect my community rank or contribution history?
No, your contribution history, ranks,kudos, and badges remain the same and are now more visible through new design.

While the major redesign is complete, we're committed to continuous improvement. Minor updates will be implemented based on community feedback and emerging needs.
