BMC’S Bob Beauchamp Honored as an Executive of the Year in 14TH Annual American Business Awards
BMC chairman and CEO acknowledged for his leadership and vision throughout BMC’s transformation as a private company
HOUSTON – May 9, 2016 – BMC, the global leader in IT solutions for the digital enterprise, today announced that chairman and CEO Bob Beauchamp has been named as an Executive of the Year in the Computer Software (companies with 500 or more employees) category of the 2016 American Business Awards. The Silver Stevie® Award recognizes Beauchamp’s leadership, long-term vision and strategic direction that have strengthened BMC’s technical, financial, and commercial positioning as a private company.
Today’s digital imperative has introduced both challenges and opportunities for organizations of all sizes and in every sector. On the one hand, they need to protect their core IT franchise, while at the same time leveraging the power of new innovative IT to deliver growth and new frontiers of value – they must adapt to the digital world or face the risk of becoming irrelevant. Since privatizing BMC in 2013, Beauchamp has positioned BMC at the forefront of this digital transformation, solving these challenges, providing modern digital enterprise management solutions and creating opportunities for BMC’s 10,000+ customers around the world.
"BMC serves 82 percent of the Fortune 500 and thousands of next-generation digital enterprises, and earning their trust requires that we constantly deliver value and enable their success," said Bob Beauchamp, chairman and CEO of BMC. “I’m honored to be recognized for this achievement and realize the strength of our company today is a reflection of the collective accomplishments across our global teams that have built and transformed this company.”
More than 3,400 nominations were submitted for the 2016 American Business Awards from organizations of all sizes and industries. A panel of more than 250 professionals worldwide participated in the judging process to select this year’s Stevie Award winners.
Judges of the 14th Annual Stevie Awards acknowledged Beauchamp’s strategic execution of his long-term vision and his focus on corporate renewal as reasons for his recognition as a 2016 honoree.
