BMC Names Márcia Nakahara as New Brazil Country Manager

Twenty-five year veteran takes over to drive company's digital business growth, customer satisfaction, and employee engagement

São Paulo – May 11, 2017 – BMC Software, a global leader in IT solutions for digital enterprise, today announced Márcia Nakahara as the new leader and country manager of its Brazil operations.
Márcia brings more than twenty-five years of experience in motivating and coaching sales teams to attain results and a deep understanding of every aspect of the customer value chain.

"Márcia is a proven leader who not only understands how to engage with customers but also delivers highly successful outcomes," said Paul Appleby, executive vice president of worldwide sales and marketing at BMC. With deep roots in Brazil's enterprise technology industry, Márcia has led large teams, earned recognition for her leadership, contributed significantly to her region's sales quotas, and transformed sales teams for high performance.

Prior to joining BMC, Márcia was with McAfee and Symantec, where she held roles as director of regional operations and large enterprise sales director, respectively. Earlier in her career, she held a series of sales positions with increasing responsibility, as well as roles in presales, professional services, and programming.

Márcia holds a degree in Economics from Faculdade de Ciências Econômicas e Administrativas de Osasco (FEAO) and an MBA in Strategic Management for Executives from Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV). She will be based on BMC's office in São Paulo and report directly to BMC's Vice President for Latin America.
