In the hyper-competitive age of Big Data, DevOps and the Cloud, you have to deliver innovative business applications faster to stay relevant. But to do that, you need an application workflow orchestration product that can automate all your mission-critical workflows, empowering your developers to do what they do best – build innovative business applications.

Today, BMC released Control-M 19, the latest version of its market-leading application workflow orchestration product. With new out of the box integrations for Amazon AWS and Microsoft Azure, including AWS Lambda, Step Functions and Batch, and Azure Logic Apps and Functions. Organizations can now use Control-M to orchestrate workflows across leading PaaS offerings on AWS and Azure, and also seamlessly integrate these with workflows running in hybrid architectures.

Control-M Automation API has new capabilities that now allow Control-M configuration and security to be managed via APIs. Developers can use a Jobs-as-Code approach to accelerate Dev and Ops collaboration by building workflows in JSON and applying the same approach to configuration and security. Control-M Managed File Transfer now natively supports the leading cloud storage system and provides more intelligent file movement. Enhancements include: support of file movement to and from AWS S3 buckets, policy-driven processing rules and support for the AS2 protocol.

The improved web interface also makes it easier to deliver and secure access to workloads for differing roles and organizations across the company, and for users to view and manage specific workloads. Enhancements include, improved site standards and customizations, allowing for conditional and must-have rules. In addition, we are introducing Web Viewpoints; where users can leverage self-service to display jobs and jobs flows.

Companies today are increasingly challenged with delivering digital services faster than ever before. This need for speed has driven companies to shorten the time for delivering the applications that power modern digital services. Public cloud providers have innovated to provide services that allow provisioning of platform and infrastructure in virtually a single-click operation, with unmatched scalability and flexibility. With infrastructure provisioning down to minutes, companies are now looking for ways to achieve the same level of agility to install and configure applications that need to run on the cloud platform.

The new features delivered with Control-M 19 reinforce the product’s market leadership position in application workflow integration, automation and orchestration.
