Mainframe Security Gaps Highlighted at the FS-ISAC Annual Summit

The week of April 28, hundreds of financial services security professionals gathered at the FS-ISAC annual conference. This week provided a great opportunity to network with peers, stay on top of the everchanging threat landscape with compelling sessions and best practices as well as meet with vendors and companies who can help protect their systems and data – including their mainframe environments.

Today’s mainframe holds the most critical customer data, yet often it is separated from the organization’s SOC leaving a gap between the mainframe and the rest of organization’s systems. This along with staffing shortages, increases in the volume of data being stored, rapidly changing compliance regulations, and a view that the mainframe is unhackable presents serious challenges for today’s CISO. Attendees we spoke with repeated this over and over throughout the week. They were also very excited to hear how BMC AMI Security can help them quickly navigate these challenges with real-time monitoring and alerts, privileged access management, and compliance scorecards to help them quickly prepare for and ace security audits.
