Reading some comments and I wonder why people are opposed to this idea or not ready to embrace it? I remember being opposed to virtualization and being slow to adopt it; ended up being a poor decision on my part and if I’m honest I would have done it differently. This ides of “Digital Enterprise Management” seems to be the same in spirit to virtualization. It may not be that every organization does every workload, service, or component with it, but it will likely provide efficiencies and return on investment for most implementations. I would also think it offers, when done correctly, more time to have a relationship with a fellow employee or customer b/c “things” are easier to do and support. Keep it Simple Silly, Manage Effectively…

I’m hoping the DEM model integrates the different core groups more closely together than the old BSM model and that they actually work well together.

I think this says it all. The business that will succeed are the ones that can deliver at the speed of a fingertip.
