Using the Installation Checklist Generator
Select the products you wish to install from the Available Product List window and click the single left arrow(>) to move them to the Selected Product List window. To clear a selection, click the single right arrow (<). To select all products or clear all selected products, click the double arrows. When you have selected the products you will install, click the Generate Checklist button and your checklist will appear in a new window. You can only open one checklist at a time, and opening a second will overwrite the first. After closing one checklist you may generate a second list. You can also highlight different products in the checklist to see their unique requirements in comparison with the complete installation requirements.
For the most accurate DASD storage estimates, refer to the Allocation Options panel in the Installation System.
Note: Pop-up blocking tools may prevent you from viewing the generated checklist. You can allow pop-ups on the ICG page since we have no other pop-ups, or you could use some "pass through" key like CTRL.

Odd product selection results in Microsoft Internet Explorer caused by Java Virtual Machine
If you experience one of the following behaviors, you may have an outdated Java Virtual Machine :
- Selecting a single product the > or < button in the Available Products or Selected Products list box causes two products to move.
- Shift-clicking products to select multiple products then clicking a single product does not deselect all but the single product.
To verify your version of the Java Virtual Machine:
- Open an MS-DOS window. If the command prompt is not c:\>, type c: and press Enter
- Enter the following command: cd winnt
- Enter the following command: jview.exe
The version information is in the first line. It will have a format like 5.00.xxxx, where the xxxx is the build number. For example, if the version number is 5.00.1234, you have build number 1234. If this virtual machine version number is less than 2922, upgrade it.
To update to the Microsoft Virtual Machine:
- Open a browser window.
- Go to the following URL: http://www.microsoft.com/java/vm/dl_vm40.htm
- Download the Microsoft Virtual Machine build appropriate to your Operating Systems.
