Knowledge Base Search Improvements We are listening to you. The Search Form As before, search terms are entered in the “Search for” field. Use the radio buttons under that field to control how multiple search terms are combined. Quoted strings are still honored, and you may notice the system placing quotes around portions of the string for you. You may continue to select a product name, and use the radio buttons under the name to control how the product name is combined with the other search terms. Revised Search Form: The Search results page Search results are now returned in a single-pane view, as shown below. The additional screen space will allow future releases to display additional attributes of the items in the results list. The most significant change in this release is that to refine your search, you will need to click the “Back” button on your browser. This will return you to the Search form (see above). The form will display all the information and option selections used for your previous search. You may enter new information, change the way terms are combined, etc., and click the “Search” button to execute the revised search. If after searching, you need to open an Issue with BMC Support, you can click the “Create an Issue” button from the Search form. Your last search terms will be copied to the new Issue, and you can complete the form and submit as before. Revised Search Results: |
