Our Solution
SNAPSHOT UPGRADE FEATURE for DB2 and SNAPSHOT UPGRADE FEATURE for IMS, along with the BMC Software utilities for DB2 and IMS, enable the creation of point-in-time copies of DB2/IMS databases concurrently with critical batch and online activity. SNAPSHOT UPGRADE FEATURE makes snapshot copies and updates in parallel, which is faster and more efficient than serial processing. It exploits EMC Symmetrix, Hitachi Remote Copy and ShadowImage, IBM RVA and STK SVA, and IBM ESS (SHARK) using PPRC storage devices to provide hardware snapshot functionality for BMC Software utilities.
