CUSTOMER WIN: Victorian Government Selects BMC Software Operations Monitoring and Management platform

 

SYDNEY, December 16, 2010 CenITex, the Victorian government’s shared-services IT agency, has selected BMC Software (NASDAQ: BMC) for its proactive operations monitoring and management platform.
 
As part of CenITex’s commitment to the Efficient Technology Services (ETS) program, CenITex will use BMC’s IT Operations platform to further improve its operational efficiencies and customer support activities.
 
One of the key capabilities of BMC’s Proactive Operations platform is its embedded integrations with the BMC Remedy IT Service Management Suite, BMC Atrium CMDB and BMC Atrium Orchestrator solution.
 
This announcement follows last year’s decision by CenITex to select BMC Software as its core IT service management provider, which delivered a single, integrated and standardized technology services platform for the Victorian government’s shared-services IT agency.
 
As a result of this extended partnership with BMC, CenITex now will be able to provide a further improved and more comprehensive proactive monitoring and management of its base infrastructure components, databases, applications and end user experiences through its integrated performance, availability, event and service impact management capabilities.
