BMC Software and IDS Scheer Integrate Solutions to Deliver Automated Business Process Discovery for Business Service Management (BSM)

Orlando, FL (May 15, 2006) - BMC Software and IDS Scheer today announced the integration of ARIS Business Architect from IDS Scheer with the BMC Atrium CMDB from BMC Software.  The combined solution enables customers to understand how IT supports and impacts their business processes and accelerates their implementation of business service management (BSM).   The joint solution will be demonstrated at SAPPHIRE May 16-18 in Orlando.

By automating business process discovery into the Configuration Management Database (CMDB), the IT department can determine which business process is affected when IT events occur and then prioritize events according to their impact on the business.
