BMC Software Announces Appointment of New General Counsel
HOUSTON — (Nov. 28, 2005) — BMC Software, Inc. [NYSE: BMC], a leading provider of enterprise management solutions, today announced the appointment of Denise M. Clolery to its executive leadership team. Formerly a partner at Sonnenschein, Nath & Rosenthall LLP as a member of its corporate, securities, intellectual property and technology practice groups, Ms. Clolery will join BMC Software as senior vice president, general counsel and secretary. Ms. Clolery will succeed BMC general counsel Robert Whilden.
Ms. Clolery will be responsible for managing the company’s legal, regulatory and corporate compliance activities. Ms. Clolery will report to Bob Beauchamp, president and CEO, BMC Software. Ms. Clolery’s appointment is effective November 28, 2005. Mr. Whilden will serve in a transitional role through December 31, 2005.
“Denise has deep and proven experience in both corporate and technology law,” said Bob Beauchamp. “Her breadth of knowledge will be a key advantage for the company as we continue to advance our Business Service Management (BSM) strategy.”
Prior to joining Sonnenschein, Nath & Rosenthall, Ms. Clolery was senior vice president, general counsel and secretary at Radianz. Before joining Radianz, Ms. Clolery was a partner at O’Melveny & Myers LLP in the transactions department. Ms. Clolery graduated summa cum laude in History from University of California, Los Angeles, and cum laude from Harvard Law School.
