BMC Software's Southeast Asia Relief Efforts to Top US $250,000 In the three weeks since the devastating tsunamis came ashore in Southeast Asia, BMC Software and its employees have made significant contributions to relief efforts in the region. After BMC Software's initial donation of US$25,000 to the International Red Cross and the donation by BMC Software India of US$35,000 in the days immediately following the tragedy, BMC Software employees from around the world have contributed approximately US$90,000 to dozens of relief organizations. Later this month, the company will augment employee donations with an additional contribution of US$100,000, bringing the total amount of employee and corporate donations to US$250,000. Jerome Adams, BMC Software's senior vice president, human resources and administration, says employee support for tsunami victims and their families again proves that it's the people that make BMC Software a great place to work. "It's the character of BMC Software employees that makes this a special company," Jerome says. "Our employees bring the values of caring, empathy and compassion to work with them every day and it's never been more evident than in their heartfelt thoughts and contributions to those impacted by this tragedy."
