HOUSTON - (March 24, 2003) - BMC Software, Inc., [NYSE: BMC], a leader in enterprise management, today announced that its job scheduling solution, CONTROL-M® for Microsoft Windows, has been awarded Windows 2000 Datacenter Server certification. CONTROL-M is the first scheduling solution to achieve Windows 2000 Datacenter Server certification. CONTROL-M offers added value by focusing on managing and integrating dissimilar applications into one business flow assuring service levels are met.

The certification was conducted by VeriTest, a division of Lionbridge Technologies (Nasdaq: LIOX), utilizing test procedures established by Microsoft. As the sole authorized certification lab for applications running on Microsoft Windows 2000 Server, VeriTest confirmed that CONTROL-M has met Datacenter standards for product integration, which reduces implementation risks and provides simplified operation and management of enterprise systems. Customers using CONTROL-M with their Windows 2000 Datacenter Server technology are able to achieve lower systems management costs and greater batch availability.
