Netuitive® and BMC Software® Announce Enhanced MarketZone Partnership

The Netuitive Analytics™ Knowledge Module® enhances BMC Software's PATROL® by adding Dynamic Thresholds and Early Warning Intelligent Alarms

Reston, VA and Houston, TX - June 23, 2003 - Netuitive, a next-generation infrastructure performance management software company and BMC Software [NYSE: BMC], a leader in enterprise management, today announced a new global reseller agreement. Under the agreement, BMC Software will distribute a MarketZone certified integration of Netuitive Analytics, Netuitive's flagship product, through MarketZone Professional Services, a vehicle that permits BMC Software to resell select partner products through its Services organization. The Netuitive Analytics Knowledge Module^® (KM) for PATROL^® enhances next-generation performance management features of PATROL, using adaptive behavior profiles that provide early warning of system degradation.

The new Netuitive Analytics KM complements BMC Software's PATROL alarm capabilities within PATROL allowing customers to identify and solve problems more quickly which leads to improved service management to customers.

• simplifies the configuration and maintenance of PATROL by using dynamic thresholds and Adaptive Behavior Profiles™ and
• expedites fault isolation/remediation when problems occur by enabling operators to interpret multiple inputs and pinpoint degrading performance.
