BMC Software Wins Awards for Outstanding Solutions CONTROL-D® Wins Transform Magazine Reader's Choice Award and PATROL® Express 3.0 Wins VARBusiness Tech Innovator Award in the Web Services Category HOUSTON - (December 10, 2003) - BMC Software, Inc. [NYSE: BMC], a leading provider of enterprise management, today announced that it has won awards for two of its outstanding solutions: CONTROL-D and PATROL Express 3.0 which are part of BMC Software's Business Service Management (BSM) strategy. BMC Software's BSM strategy enables customers to change the way they do business - to begin managing IT from a business perspective. It allows customers to understand and predict the impact of technology changes on the business, and conversely, understand how changes in the business impact the IT infrastructure. BMC Software recently won a Transform Magazine Readers Choice Award for CONTROL-D in the Output and Report Management Category. CONTROL-D automates the management and distribution of information throughout the enterprise, providing higher service levels while reducing operational costs.
