BMC Software Announces New MarketZone Partner To Improve Management of Critical Business Services

ASA Knowledge, Raises the Bar for Service Management Solutions With Advanced SLM Product for PATROL

BMC Software today announced:

  • A new global reseller and development agreement with ASA Knowledge Pty Ltd.TM (ASAK), in which BMC Software will distribute ASAK's SLM Express product to further strengthen BMC Software's service management offerings
  • With SLM Express by ASA Knowledge, BMC Software will deliver a state-of-the-art SLM solution for its PATROL® product line that will increase service levels for critical business processes.

HOUSTON - (April 9, 2003) - BMC Software, Inc., [NYSE: BMC], a leader in enterprise management, today announced a new global reseller and development agreement with ASA Knowledge Pty Ltd.TM (ASAK), a leading provider of service level management (SLM) products. Under the agreement, BMC Software will distribute ASAK's SLM Express product to further strengthen BMC Software's service management offerings. With this announcement, ASAK is now a part of BMC Software's MarketZone partner products program.

ASAK, delivers SLM Express, a product that provides users with an advanced PATROL® SLM tool. Users can utilize the products Digital Dashboard to provide end users and IT staff with Web access to service views that reflect real-time and historical SLA compliance based on end users' experience. SLM Express integrates seamlessly with BMC Software's PATROL solutions and offers rapid installation, native reporting capabilities and advanced SLA options. Additionally, the easily customizable service views of the Digital Dashboard support rapid drill-down to key PATROL metrics for problem isolation and corrective action. This enables BMC Software customers to continually improve service levels by easily creating service views and SLAs that reflect the real world constraints of business and intuitively reporting against them in real-time.
