How to guarantee recoverability through Protection, Performance, and Prevention

In today's environment, IMS backup and recovery has taken on a whole new meaning because it involves more than an image copy and forward recovery.  IMS backup and recovery must embrace Performance, Protection and Prevention to reduce resource utilization, meet SOX compliance, and if possible Prevent the need for recovery if at all possible.  In the case where recovery is the only response, assist with the recovery action to insure its successful completion.
