CUSTOMER WIN: Asian Mega-Resort Chooses BMC Software To Manage Critical IT Processes

 

SINGAPORE, May 26, 2010 – Resorts World Sentosa (RWS), Singapore’s first and largest integrated resort, chose BMC Software (NASDAQ: BMC) to manage and automate the critical IT processes to deliver best-in-class customer experiences amid ever-expanding complexity.  
 
To ensure this level of excellence, RWS has selected key pieces of BMC’s Business Service Management (BSM) platform to manage and automate key ITIL® processes across their IT infrastructure, resulting in rapid organizational adoption and process efficiency.
 
RWS plans to draw more than 12 million guests this year with a range of attractions that include Southeast Asia’s only Universal Studios theme park, six hotels, a casino and the world’s largest oceanarium. The mega resort occupies more than 121 acres and will employ more than 10,000 people when fully open.
 
The combination of so many components creates a complex IT environment that must be managed closely to ensure smooth resort operations. For example, by using BMC Remedy IT Service Management Suite, RWS can automate and manage daily IT infrastructure processes, ensure ITIL adherence, detect potential problem areas before changes are made, resolve any problems quickly and maintain service level agreements throughout the complex.
