What is Technical Certification?

BMC Technical Certification is uniquely designed to add value for you and your organization.  Through our Technical Certification process, BMC ensures your organization will be able to deliver value across a prescriptive product set, such as IT service management, cloud lifecycle management, or any of our BSM initiatives.  We execute a detailed plan designed to increase your skills, deepen your confidence and increase your ability.

BMC offers two levels of Technical Certification:

• Certified Professional - Deliver value that is aligned to a prescriptive set of pre-defined, out-of-the-box use cases.
  • After passing the certification online assessment,  you will be qualified to register for a practical exam.  Upon passing the practical exam,  you will receive the Certified Professional designation. 
• Certified Expert - Deliver more complex value through configuration and/or integration.  Requirement: Must have received your BMC Certified Professional designation
  • After passing the certification online assessment, you will be qualified to register for a practical exam.  Upon passing the practical exam, you will receive the Certified Expert designation.

Based on completion of either or both of these Certifications, BMC will certify that you have the knowledge and technical skills to successfully implement a specific BMC technology - with measurable value.

What are the next steps you need to take to achieve certification?

To qualify for the certification, first you register and pay for the certification online assessment.  You will receive access to the study materials and certification online assessment.  If you pass the online assessment, than you can take the practical exam for an additional fee.
