BMC Software Tour of Arlington
Arlington, MA – July 8th

The BMC Software Tour of Arlington, featuring a men’s 63-mile and a women’s 42-mile circuit race, comes to the streets of downtown Arlington, MA. The races are Tier II events on the Professional Cycling Tour.

The Arlington races are the eighth events on the 2001 BMC Cycling Grand Prix, a series of four races within the Professional Cycling Tour, a 14-event cycling tour, linking professional cycling races with a definitive professional points series. At stake in the BMC Cycling Grand Prix, in addition to Tour points, is a purse of $200,000 to the cyclists who accumulate the most points in all four BMC Grand Prix events.

This year’s BMC Software Grand Prix marks the third year in a five-year agreement BMC Software signed with USA Cycling, the national governing body for the sport of cycling, to sponsor the Grand Prix series.
