Smart Recover Enables Increased Availability of SAP^® Application Data

ORLANDO, Fla - (June 17, 2003) - From SAP's international customer conference in Orlando, SAPPHIRE^® 2003, BMC Software, Inc. [NYSE: BMC], a leader in enterprise management, today announced its SmartDBA Performance and Recovery management tools are available for the mySAP^TM Business Suite. Customers benefit from the seamless integration of BMC Software solutions and SAP^® solutions through increased availability of their SAP application data. BMC Software also announced that SAP FAQ members recently selected its PATROL^® for SAP solutions as a winner of their Member's Choice Top 25 Tools and Technology Award.

SmartDBA Recovery Management

SmartDBA Performance Management
DBAs that maintain large databases within an SAP solution-based environment frequently need help identifying which objects to reorganize. Space Expert quickly and easily identifies the objects that are most active and most in need of reorganization. It then creates and schedules reorganization jobs for those objects. This automated process identifies objects that require maintenance and is beneficial for enhancing performance in enterprise environments such as SAP solution-based environments.
