Each year, the International Db2 Users Group (IDUG) organizes multiple conferences around the world, all with the goal of supporting and strengthening the information services community. Through these events, which feature expert keynote speakers and top professionals in the field leading highly targeted sessions, IDUG aims to provide the highest quality education and networking opportunities to promote the effective utilization of Db2.

What is IDUG?

Started in 1988 by a group of users, vendors, and consultants in collaboration with IBM, IDUG has since grown to an international collection of over 23,000 members. The organization is independent, not-for-profit, and completely user-run with the mission of offering a chance for users of Db2 to get together, learn from each other, and share experiences and advice.

IDUG Events

All IDUG events are planned, organized, and carried out by a group of volunteers, further testifying to the user-run community. All events provide a direct channel to Db2 professionals to:

  • Gain access to influential decision makers representing significant install bases
  • Acquire a deeper understanding of marketplace needs and the competitive environment
  • Engage with current and potential customers looking to learn about Db2 and related technologies to improve business performance

This year, there are currently five scheduled IDUG Db2 events scheduled spanning India, the United States, Australia, and the Netherlands. Read on to find out more information about each of these including their dates, cost, speakers, and topics covered.
