David Gai is president of Customer Success and chief customer officer for BMC Software, Inc. Prior to joining BMC, Gai was executive vice president of Worldwide Services at JDA Software, where he managed the P&L for all lines of service, including cloud, consulting, customer support and education. Previously he led worldwide customer support, consulting and education teams at both EMC and BEA Systems. Gai has also served as CEO and president of Equitant, an international business process operations company in Dublin, Ireland; served as general manager of North American Operations for HP; and led his own company providing consulting services to global customers including American Express, Universal Studios and Chevron.
Gai holds a bachelor of science in computer software engineering from California State University of Sacramento. He serves on the advisory board of the Technology Services Industry Association.
