I’ve been working with IBM mainframes since 1981. I began as a Cobol programmer and performed several roles in development for 18 years. I like new challenges, so when they asked me to join the DB2 team, I grabbed the chance. After a while, I began supporting developer teams along with the other usual DBA tasks. I love to share what I’ve learned over the years with other people, that’s why my specialties include SQL performance analysis and assisting, training and supporting developers. I’m a regular in-house presenter about DB2 features and tools usage. I presented at IDUG EMEA in 2008 and at BMC Seminars in 2007 in Lisbon and 2009 in Brussels and Amsterdam.
Outside of work, family, books, chess and cinema take most of my attention.
