On May 10, 2006, BMC Software completed the acquisition of Identify Software, a leader in Application Problem Resolution software. The Identify Software business will be a great addition to BMC Software, to our Business Service Management (BSM) strategy, and a key differentiator for the BMC Transaction Management strategy.

With the incorporation of Identify Software, our comprehensive Transaction Management strategy will address the top three questions that IT organizations ask about business applications:

  • Problem detection – do I have a problem?
  • Problem isolation – where is my problem?
  • Problem resolution – what is my problem and how do I fix it?
