Garland Cupp is chairman of the board for BMC Software, Inc. Cupp has been a member of the BMC Software Board of Directors since October 1989, serving as chairman of the Compensation Committee and CEO Succession Planning.

Prior to his retirement in 1996, Cupp served as executive vice president and CIO of the Travel Related Services Division of American Express. Before joining American Express, Cupp was director of Business Systems Services for McDonnell Douglas Automation Company. He is currently chairman of Apex Mortgage Company and a Board member of Edmond Bank and Trust.
