Jae W. Chung

Senior Vice President, Business Operations

Jae ChungJae Chung, senior vice president, Business Operations, joined BMC Software, Inc., on September 25, 2006. Prior to joining BMC, Chung was with MBNA America from 1999-2006, most recently as a senior executive vice president and a member of the Management Committee, Operation Risk Committee and Customer Committee. His responsibilities included overseeing systems development, architecture, systems engineering, project release management, testing and other related tasks. During his tenure with MBNA, Chung also served as the division head of U.S. Card Loan Growth, as well as of Corporate Initiatives and Resource Allocation.

From 1992 to 1999, Chung was a partner with McKinsey & Company, New York, NY, co-leading its North American Consumer Credit, Payments, High Technology and Operations Effectiveness practices. Chung also spent eight years as a member of the technical staff with AT&T Bell Laboratories in New Jersey.

Chung holds a Master of Science in Management from the MIT Sloan School of Management with a concentration in Applied Economics and Finance; a Master of Science in Computer Science from Stanford University and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from Princeton University.
